Unfortunately I have to file a complaint against Winn-Dixie store I understand vendors oversee this area but this now makes more than one occasion in many different departments that I have found old and expired food.
When I buy foods I always reach to the back of the stack to gain the freshest product. As food products are rotated or should be to keep the oldest and most likely to expire first up front to sell sooner I have been finding just the opposite at this store. The oldest product is pushed to the back, in another instance of mine concerning bagged lettuce, and the new is placed in the front? I have watched the produce department also put out fresh boxes of tomatoes, potatoes, etc… on top of already soft, leaking, damaged and rotten product.
I have monitored this behavior for over 8 months now and can barely stand to go into this store and shop period! This one store is responsible for allot of people local and tourists alike because of its location and nothing else being available. Publix has become a more trusted source for my food purchases even though the drive is twice as far and twice as long with traffic.
Something has happened at this store, it used to be a lot better. Unfortunately I am cancelling my membership with Winn-Dixie at this time and using all sources of media to share this gross negligence. For the sake of my family, friends and vacationers so they do not waste their money and possibly become sickened by expired rotting food. Signed, Corbin A. Had to write Corp. I took pictures and I will be posting it anywhere I can.. Today I went online to have a prescription filled, after logging in all my info was gone? Tried using my cell phone, recording said to go to the store? I then went to the Winn Dixie , 9th St North, St Pete and discovered that the drugstore had been shut down about a week ago. Wow, a sign on the door said my account had been transferred to a nearby CVS. Unbelievable, since I had received no notification of this transfer.
The fact that my account was transferred to CVS without my knowledge has really made me angry. What kind of corporation would pull this totally unprofessional behavior? Shame on you, Winn Dixie, for all your customer service BS.
I would suggest that your corporation should own up to this fiasco publicly so that other similar customers like myself can be made aware of this activity beforehand. They dont restock products and then tell you that theyre out of any particular item. Someone should teach the employees how to treat their customers if they would like to be treated the same. I was just informed that my Winn Dixie will no longer have a drugstore. I loved my drugstore because I never had to wait like other places.
Why are you doing this? This is a delicious alterternative to chicken, and so convienant. I would like to request that you consider carrying this item again for the customers who enjoy this roast. I live in New Orleans and have a major problem pertaining to your carding senior citizens. Today I attempted to buy lotto tickets at the Customer Service Counter and after she ran the slips she asked me for my ID. I told her I stopped buying liquor there because of the same insane policy.
He said they had that policy once but people found a way around it. People find a way around all rules but i think its asinine to penalize the elderly with such an unnecessary tactic. I used to shop at WD frequently but due to this policy , I only buy sale items and then only sparingly. She told me she was stuck with the tickets because I picked my own numbers. I told her to do what I was going to do ….. Today i thought i would give the store one more try as every single time the customer service has been awful.
I am visibly pregnant almost due with my 4 year old in the store and we bought groceries quite a few things today and the lines were all backed up, no big deal i understand it gets busy. As i finally got to the register it was the customer service manager not a regular cashier.
Not once did she smile, acknowledge me, ask me how my day was, or even notice i was there.. She then continued to talk to the cashier behind her about facebook and hiring the other manager who was stocking the shelves friend and how they never put there application in.
Went on the joke and laugh still ignoring me. Then another cashier comes up to bag a little bit and they talk about changing his time card and his lunch break.
They traded off and he rang me up only to tell me to have a nice day and start ringing the next guy up behind me with my groceries in bags piled up on the register still with absolutely no help not one person, he slid the guys behind me waters on my groceries instead of just helping me real quick.
Not that one customer matters im sure but i can assure you looking around and hearing my surrounding i am not the only one who is aggravated with such terrible customer service.
Let me tell you a thing or to 1 cats are fall apart. Manage needs go back to school, other employees need to be replaced with new. Ok now you how I feel. Do you have any of this bread. Can you not see it? I made him show me. He shows me a spot for 3 loafs could go no bread so I ask if he check in the back. He said if not on self. Buy other bread is just bread. I said no I want this bread. So after a little time I got him to go to back room after 30 mins saw me back at dairy put thing on self.
I ask again about the bread he said manage said we only get 3 loafs this is a poor neighborhood and we do not carry more than at I need to be here when truck come in or go to another store. Because if I can buy at bread I in wrong store his manage said. I went to front desk. Got told if it about the bread I was already told we do not have go to another store. I did get some. You think it would be cut in small parts no it was not. Just like your Lakeland Highlands Rd. Publix is closer but high then Lakeland Highlands Rd.
The store needs to close. And I put a copy of this letter on Facebook to let others know do not shop at this store unless you are poor and unlike been treat like buy something and like it and get out. No care or quality. Like you can get at another store. And to tell them buy anywhere but this store.
Now being the information freak I am I decided to jump the gun and call the human recourse department to gather information about maternity leave, paperwork, and any thing I would need to know before and after having my bundle of joy. I phoned the center and sat on hold for an HOUR, now I understand high call volumes, but an hour seemed ridiculous to me. I was finally pushed through and spoke to a young man.
He then replied and said we do not have any maternity leave policies. Now as an expecting mother this is highly irritating. He then continued to say we do not provide paid leave either and if you were to take a leave of absence your job will not be protected.
If decided your management can terminate you and your position if need be during your absence. What company would just terminate somebody while on leave? I could understand someone on leave for longer than needed with a bs excuse, but a new mother?? I proceeded to ask about any other type of leaves I could ask for and the man replied you could take a short term leave of absence also known as a personal leave ranging between days.
Hmm interesting and very ridiculous. You could also take a medical leave, but would need to submit x,y,z forms to us here at corporate from your doctors. If you went that route your leave time would be determined based on your doctors notes. However, neither of these are paid either. Winn-Dixies policies for part-time employees are down right jokes compared to other companies. You would think being such a valuable asset to a company I would have a little bit better of an understanding from them, but as you read above myself nor anybody else has a standing chance when life events happen.
This is an absolute outrage not just as an employee, but as a n expecting mother! My wife shopped at the Winn Dixie store a year ago, and let me tell you we just had a Baby at the time. My wife was at the check out lane and had gotten items that where posted on the WIC catalog for purchase, so when she was getting checked out most of the things she got where not ringing up as WIC.
So confused like any other customer would, she asked the cashier if she has any knowledge as to why this was happening , and the cashier got assistance from the customer service manager.
So now two frustrated managers and a cashier had no idea how to do their jobs looked at my wife as if she was dumb. Publix down the street makes shopping every time a pleasure.
When my wife left the store she was so embarrassed , and cried the whole way home. Let me tell you I was at work and if I where there I would have went off the walls. I am writing to complain about the treatment of a Handicapped employee working for the Winn-Dixie in Sun Citiy Center. The management has been trying to get the person to quit now for almost 3 years.
They keep cutting that persons hours,11 hours last week, in order to get her to try and quit. She has worked for them for many years, at least I think if this employee was really doing something wrong, they would have fired that person. They are just trying to get that person to quit because that person has been there so long and might be making a little bit more money because that person has worked there so long. There is no reason why any corporation, big or small, should treat any employee like this.
Especially a handicapped person that has work loyally for them for years. What do you think? I was recently terminated for job abandonment. Before I was let go another employee walked out. When I asked my supervisor, Keith Anderson, If I could pick up the extra hours, he said we can certainly work that out.
The following week my center store manager, Azure Enriquez scheduled me for only 11 hours. I asked Keith why, but he didnt have an answer at the time and said we would discuss it later. I took my lunch break and witnessed him leaving.
I became disgruntled because when they ask me to do something or need to work in an area to cover shifts, I always comply without question. This time I left. So now im here to speak out against the favoritism that is shown from management. I did leave early that day but returned to work the next day with the problem behind me. I have not received a warning in any way, shape or form.
I have worked here for 10 years at the Biloxi, MS store I had a simple request to look into my schedule and was ignored. I feel like I was ran off to make room for their favorites. Azure has a close friend that works with her, Tina. Azure also had another favorite that walked out named steven. For a while tina was in charge of dairy but never promoted to lead.
Tina is complacent with doing bare minimum yet she gets all the benefits because of azure. I think these conflicts of interest should be looked into. I never got it and it lied and said I did not complete the steps when I not only sent to 15 but 20 more of my friends!!!!!
They all said they received it. How do you remember to breathe??? I am writing to reach out to the District Manager to this store I have a complaint about. I believe this incident should be addressed. I called this store 6x today on my lunch break trying to reach out to the Meat Department. After the first 3 attempts of constant ringing with no answer I decided to call Customer Support so that they may page that Department so that I may speak to them. I got placed on hold 2x for an unreasonable amount of time and decided to call again for the 6th time with regards to speaking with a manager.
I again was placed on hold and never got through to a manager. I was simply trying to speak with the butcher to ask if flank steak was available today so that I may place a large order for pickup. I work at the Winn-Dixie located at N. My store director is actively creating a hostile workplace for me and is also retaliating against me for reporting what he is doing. I had a personal dispute with another employee who is in an upper management position, and she in turn went back to the job and told the director about our dispute.
Ever since she spoke with him about our dispute, the director has been talking negatively to me and about me to my co-workers. Because of the negativity coming from the director my co-workers started to shun me and treat me differently.
I have been reduced to less than part time hours after I made the first call to HR, and now the management only gives me 1 or 2 days a week hours a day to work when I was originally a full time associate. The scheduler will make out a schedule for the week and then change the days, times, or both after I have left the store without informing me, then he will attempt to accuse me of being a no-call, no-show. I have been loyal to this company for the last 16 years.
I have always been on time for work; and I have not called out unless it was an absolute emergency. And this is the way that they treat me…. I was assured by management when I came to work for this company that they would not tolerate harassment in the workplace nor would retaliation be allowed…but that seems to be a device that they used to placate me and pacify me to keep me from complaining.
I want justice! I want to see the people responsible for these egregious acts punished. I want them to cease with the assassination of my character. And I want them to cease from being disruptive to my livelihood. This is not how one treats a 16 year loyal employee. This is ridiculous. I am hoping that after all that I have been through to get this issue resolved that this e-mail finally gets someones attention and gets me the help with this issue that I so desperately need!
I have been subjected to a hostile work environment and I have been discriminated against because of my age. My boss has essentially replaced me with a younger worker by significantly cutting my hours. My boss refuses to acknowledge me and nor does he state why my hours have been cut.
The worker who has replaced me has been harassing me by going behind me and undoing my work. This causes the boss to believe that my work is bad. I hope that this company will take my complaints seriously and issue a follow up. The customers are never right and this was my experience. I was with my mom from out of town and I saw a great deal. She agreed that the sign stated the above prices.
Well, the manager Jason came with a black sharpie and started changing Corporate sign and here is the proof in the pictures below. As I proceed to the checkout, Jason, the store manager, again was at the checkout with another customer going back and forth about prices of juice and cheese and told the customer the she need to strain her eyes to see the prices. My question is Jason why do we need to strain our eyes to look for a price when the big sign clearly states it.
Also Jason, why are you in this picture adding lb. We have a new Winn Dixie on Hwy 21 and it is beautiful. I am sad to say as well as many many others and would like to see the store located on hwy 25 have a makeover.
It is in great need for a huge makeover inside and out. Please Please Please help this store. Not that it is outdated but the most important part is the produce is discusting and would make you sick.
It looks as it had been there for weeks on out. I went in the other day with my husband and the bread on a display table in the deli area had mole on the bread and it was on every pack. I am with many others would like to see Winn Dixie invest in this store and make it a go. It would be nice if there was more products to select from. Love them all, very helpful and just great people. We moved to Spring Hill Fl 35 miles away 6 mths ago.
I was allowed to transfer the gabapentin over but not the norco. When I went to the Ridge Manor drugstore tonightvand told Harry the pharmacist what Ive been told he said no, not possible. She told him the same thing??
And hung up. I then stopped by CVS then Walgreens not telling either what had happened and posed the question to both. I worked at store in Jacksonville Florida. He made some associates cry and his remorse was short lived. He is a bully who seems to think his position warrants behaving like he is a drill sergeant, yet there is no basic training underway.
He makes the majority of his associates feel unwanted and seems to delight in making them feel like they are worthless. The way a person is trained in this store is that once you mess up, you get yelled at, however, you were never properly trained in the proper way of executing what you made the mistake on.
Team Leads make less than cashiers, based on the increase in minimum wage that occurred after the Team Lead was hired. It was such a bad environment to work in, I just left. The store could really use better management, if they want to keep people working there. I signed a swarn affidavit in july to have the person prosecuted when. I have the same type of manager in my store , Palm Bay Florida.
Joe was out for about a month and the store was peaceful, everybody was treated equally and we employees were much happier. People are afraid to say anything because they do not want to lose their jobs. I will Never buy at winn-dixie again. Bad as walfart! My son picked up fried chicken and chicken tenders from Green Cove Springs, Fl location last night. I was eating the first chicken tender when I came across a half inch length of metal scrub pad. I called and was told to just bring the other tenders back and they would reimburse me.
Do I really need to consider traveling a little further to Publix now? I will leave a comment but I doubt if upper management cares due to the fact that it doesnt pertain to them. The good news is, we all followed command but the bad news is, they FIRED all of us in the meeting and told us that winn dixie was cutting cost every where they could and the people that are sitting in this room will NOT be going forward during this re-organization.
No one was given the opportunity to apply within the company that day. This affected people in so many ways. People are reaching out to agencies for help only to be told no and or turned away. People are losing their cars and houses, no medical insurance to attend the hospital to treat their illnesses, no food to eat, kids cant afford to play activities in school because of the parents not having a job, people are pawning their valuables to put food on the table while the CEO and the staff that he brought over with him are living the AMERICAN DREAM while the we are still struggling to find a job to keep from losing there sanity.
I would like to know why Win Dixie stop giving senior citizen discount on Wednesday? Still they give new people more hours than me, it sucks, something needs to be done. Still feel disrespected more than ever. I worked at Winn Dixie and let me tell you something! I was the worst experience of my life trying to make a living.
I have just recently ended my employment at this store, and thankfully so. I dreaded work everyday and hated every second of being there and no other reason than the management was atrocious.
I have never seen such lazy workers, and rude. I have never seen so many rude comments about customers after they walk out the doors. My manager, Kaylie Stephens was the most immature. I never retaliated because of fear of nothing happening but my time there be even worse. Any complaints received by Joel White would not be taken seriously nor into consideration.

Kaylie told me to my face that she has favorites. She gave an awful reference of one person who works there to a job as an intern that she needed and was going to do the internship while working at Winn Dixie.
Your employees deserve much more. My advice to you is to clean out the management and put people in place that take the business seriously and care about the store. One manager at the Winn-Dixie I go to even uses profanity to put down his employees. I heard him one time yelling at his employee and they were behind office doors. I love Winn-Dixie, but they are need of good managers.
He refers to his employees as his people since when do own people, has slavery came back. The employees are really nice minus management. Recently I was there with my 18 month old grandson. I had bought him a balloon at the Dollar Tree store next door earlier. When I was done shopping I had to go to the service desk to get a Lottery ticket, and on my way there a hanging sign with a sharp corner punctured the balloon.
As you can imagine my grandson was very upset. But, in the year , the company became bankrupt, and almost stores were closed. Then in , the company was purchased by BI-LO. As of the year , there is some more store location that has been closed down as well, due to low revenue numbers, including in places like Florida, Georgia, Carolina, etcetera. I have his name Rude employees checking which cart you can take and if your mask was pulled up over your nose. I saw 2 employees at the store that day who had them pulled down and not wearing. At this point we feel threaten by him, he has done the same to my wife with her as she walked through.
I have filed an official complaint. What is wrong with the corporate office not to mandate wearing a mask for its employees and anyone entering a Winn Dixie store here in Florida? As a loyal customer of Winn Dixie I Will no longer shop your stores. It is disappointing to see other large firms taking responsibility to effectively mitigate covid by requiring masks, but not Winn-Dixie.
Many of your customers are healthcare workers while others accept the viral transmission benefit to wearing masks. We all have a choice with where we shop. Therefore will be boycotting your stores; and exclusively shopping at Publix. No social distance! And as I was leaving the store the manager with NO Mask!!!
