Where is boondocks season 4
Why This Season Isn't The Stone That The Builder Refused The biggest reason for this season's failure is the fact that Aaron McGruder intentionally had no involvement with this season, as he was making plans for the first season of the live-action religious sitcom Black Jesus , airing on the same network. Rather than focusing on Huey Freeman, who is literally the main character, this season focuses more on Robert Freeman. While Robert is one of the main characters, the whole season focusing on him doesn't make sense.
Many poor plots of Robert going into different situations, such as losing money and becoming a slave. The unnecessary decision to bring back Stinkmeaner again, who was killed off twice in Season 1 and 2. Uncle Ruckus undergoing a crapload of Flanderization, going from being a self-hating racist but funny man into an annoying, unfunny character. This season has been extremely rushed because it only aired for 2 months and lasted for 10 episodes.
This season has had very little as far as actual political-social commentary, real satire or any of the insights you'd normally expect from this show. This season rather focuses on relationships as mentioned in 2 and 4 , with Kim Kardashian even making an unnecessary guest appearance. The humor was downgraded from being funny and clever, to being rather awkward and forgettable.
The series finale, "The New Black" was a truly bad way to end the series. This is another example of both Seasonal Rot and Executive Meddling, as Adult Swim decided to continue the series after Season 3, which is widely considered to be the best season.
Redeeming Qualities The animation is really good and is a major improvement over the previous seasons. Likewise, the voice acting is good like always. The Freeman family is are still likable as usual. The intro is still good. The upcoming reboot should be an improvement as Aaron McGruder is going to be involved in the series. Reception Although the show's first three seasons were met with positive reception.
This season was funny, very funny. It lacked the character and the spirit of previous seasons; but was still a great watch. I believe a lot of viewers prepared themselves not to like this season because Aaron McGruder left and I think the show is being judged harshly for it. The social This season was funny, very funny. The social points made on the show were there and a lot more heavy handed than before, but I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing. I would say the entire focus on Grand Dad may have turned a few off, but at the core it was still an entertaining season.
FreakyFatJo May 21, This season started so poorly I was almost ashamed to have rooted for the show to continue and against the Uncle Ruckus movie. The first three episodes are just empty, no rythm, no wit and no goddamn story to hold together the few remaining pieces that made the show great.
The Breaking This season started so poorly I was almost ashamed to have rooted for the show to continue and against the Uncle Ruckus movie. The Breaking Bad rip-off is just okay but it when the show is drowning, a breath of fresh air feel like an accomplishment. And so I was really surprised when the 5th episode came on the air, this is the boondocks I came to love and I hope the disappointment ends now. Aaron McGruder was the soul of the show, hope he let some of his magic around when he left.
Diablo92 Jun 11, The entire season up to now is all about robert going broke. I don't care much that they brung back story telling for one of the earlier seasons where robert would tell a story from the past and the subject being about slavery. The last episode where robert bought an iphone disappointed me The entire season up to now is all about robert going broke.
The last episode where robert bought an iphone disappointed me deeply and i'm more than sure it brang great shame from many others more then just myself.
I'm not sure what kind of score I should give here. Boondocks was a really great anime show back in the day but lately has crumbled. The devs are stuck on robert being broke in every episode and bringing back things such as story telling from roberts past from earlier seasons just makes me want to vomit.
Sacrilege Apr 30, The writing has really dropped off in this season and too many themes from previous seasons are being rehashed. It also seems like the n word is being used a lot more superfluously and it comes off as awkward to say the least. I attribute this to the creator no longer being involved with the show. The loss Aaron McGruder is definitely felt the show seemed to have lost its depth and intelligent perspectives.
After forcing myself to stomach half the season I couldn't watch anymore because there was nothing there to really watch as everything I like about the show was replaced with The loss Aaron McGruder is definitely felt the show seemed to have lost its depth and intelligent perspectives.
